We have worked hard to open something special in the heart of Higham's beautiful market square.
Downstairs we have a relaxed space for bar food and drinkers but upstairs is where it gets exciting, with a niche “market room” we have a private dining room for those special occasions or for larger bookings that would like something a little special. Overlooking the stunning market square you will have your own space to enjoy a cosy dining room.
The main Carriage House restaurant is relaxed, fun and enjoyable for everyone. Come upstairs, six nights a week for a fresh, seasonal, locally sourced, ingredient driven menu.
All of our suppliers are within 20 miles of the restaurant and we boast the locality and quality they consistently provide.
Cooking on a British coal oven named “INKA” we're proud to serve traditional “grill” style meals without all the fuss, but with all of the flavour and care with chefs butchering and curing all of our meats themselves.
Although our main focus is the “INKA” we have also created some modern, unique vegetarian meals using the coal oven.
There is something for everyone - our Sunday dinners are relaxed and perfect for families and friends alike.
Our Head Chef, James, and chief egg technician is excited to be cooking his food right back where he grew up.
